SEPCO1 Successfully Participates in 2021 China International Nuclear Power Industry and Equipment Exhibition | |||

The 2021 China International Nuclear Power Industry and Equipment Exhibition, which lasted two and half a days, was held in the Yantai International Expo Center from October 19 to 21. A total of more than 300 enterprises and research institutes from home and abroad showcased their latest achievements in nuclear power technology application and equipment manufacturing. As a leading construction contractor in nuclear power, SEPCO1 attended this first class domestic exhibition, presenting its grand moments in the industry. In the bright and spacious exhibition hall and with the theme of "Gathering strength to create dream", SEPCO1 showcases its outstanding achievements and advanced management concepts in nuclear power engineering, thermal power engineering, new energy engineering, power grid engineering, infrastructure engineering and other core businesses. The exhibition area for SEPCO1 is composed of four parts: display boards, sand table and model, video exhibition, and commentary. The content of display boards includes group company profile, SEPCO1 profile, nuclear power business, thermal power business, new energy business, infrastructure business, power grid business, etc. Sand table and model show the Haiyang nuclear power smart energy project. The video package includes the advertising video of SEPCO1, documentary video for Daya Bay and Ling’ao Nuclear Power Plants, and 3D animation for smart energy project of water-heat simultaneous transfer in Haiyang Nuclear Power Plant and heavy-cargo lifting in Haiyang Nuclear Power Plant phase I project. Moreover, 4 professional commentators are standing at exhibition area for full-time explanation and guidance. During the exhibition period lasting two and a half days, SEPCO1's show area has always been the most popular one, attracting a steady stream of visitors by its exquisite and classic display boards, vivid sand table and model, high-end and atmospheric videos, as well as the professional and enthusiastic commentaries. On the first day of the exhibition, the mayor of Yantai city, mayor of Zhaoyuan city and other governmental leaders visited SEPCO1's exhibition area for inspection, left messages with their signatures, and took photos with the staff. Exhibitor representatives and industry insiders also made visits to SEPCO1’s exhibition hall. They actively communicated with the staff of SEPCO1, discussing the potential cooperation in nuclear power engineering, new energy technology, material supply, business consortium and other aspects. The water-heat simultaneous generation and transfer project undertaken by SEPCO1 in Haiyang Nuclear Power Plant is the sole case that has been selected in the World Nuclear Performance Report 2021 for China’s nuclear power sector, showing the latest achievements of China's comprehensive utilization of nuclear energy to the world. In order to demonstrate this achievement, SEPCO1 produced a large sand table model with electro-optical technology, presenting a vivid display of multiple technological innovations achieved in many aspects of this physical engineering, such as construction technology, system composition, operation logic, social benefits, etc. Such mode acts like opening a gateway to the innovative nuclear power knowledge for visitors, arousing their interest to study. The water-heat simultaneous generation and transfer project in Haiyang Nuclear Power Plant has been completed and put into operation. Through the three-level efficient utilization of nuclear power including power generation, water production and heating, it is the first time to achieve the "zero carbon" heating and "zero energy consumption" water production simultaneously, delivering a new solution to the clean heating and fresh water demand and other livelihood issues in northern cities of China. The Haiyang nuclear power heating project, which is basically completed and under an orderly commissioning, is expected to supply the central heating to the whole district of Haiyang city in November this year. At that time, Haiyang citizens will use such clean heat, thus creating an unprecedented way for domestic utilization of nuclear heating. It is estimated that during a heating season 100,000 tons of raw coal will be saved with 180,000 tons of carbon dioxide emission and 80% of local exhaust emissions being reduced, which will effectively contribute to the realization of the national goals of “Achieving peak carbon dioxide emissions before 2030 and carbon neutrality before 2060”. | |||
