As early as 1986, SEPCO1, as the only Chinese contractor, implemented the conventional island installation project of Guangzhou Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant, China’s first commercial nuclear power plant which was conferred upon a major award by the American Electric Power International Magazine in 1994. In 1998, SEPCO1 again won the contract of the conventional island installation of Guangdong Ling’ao Nuclear Power Plant Phase I Project. Presently, SEPCO1 is engaging in the conventional island installation of Shandong Haiyang Nuclear Power Plant Phase I & Phase II Project, the third generation AP1000 nuclear power project in China. It is worth saying that SEPCO1 is one of China’s pioneer power construction enterprises engaging in nuclear power project construction.
