Brazil Candiota Power Plant was Connected with Grid Successfully after the Overhual
At 23:10 local time on March 30, the EPC overhaul project of Candiota Phase II Thermal Power Plant C in Brazil implemented by SEPCO1 was successfully connected to the power grid without any failure. The performance indicators of the unit are excellent with smooth operation.
On the morning of March 30th , the steam turbine started to run. At 16:24, steam turbine reached the speed of 3600r/min with steady speed rear shaft vibration, good temperature parameters of bearings, and generator maximum shaft vibration of 69μm.
Subsequently, the unit has carried out various tests, such as steam turbine oil-injection test, main valve tightness, over-speed and generator dummy- synchronization, etc. After the tests, the unit has been connected to the grid successfully, which is highly praised by all concerned parties.
